WINTER FUTSAL TRAINING
WCFC player fees include winter futsal training with WCFC staff coaches and trainers. Players have the opportunity to continue development inside over the winter months. Players will work in mixed groups, not exclusive to their competitive teams or age groups.
Training schedules vary by age group.
Camps, clinics, specialty training, leagues and tournaments are optional and an additional cost.
WHAT IS FUTSAL
Futsal by definition is “a modified form of soccer played with five [or less] players per side on a smaller, typically indoor, field.”
For WCFC this typically means smaller groups of players per team, playing on a basketball sized court with smaller goals. Futsal is a much faster game as the ball can roll very easily and thus teaches the players to react quickly. As the goals are smaller each shot on goal must be more accurate. In addition as the ball can move very quickly it also helps to create much faster and more controlled footwork.
